Inspired by Jean-Luc Godard’s “Masculin – Feminin” (1966), director David DeCoteau cleverly contrasts the worlds of drag queens and leather queens in L.A.’s Silverlake district. We empathize with aspiring poet Kyle (Sean Tataryn), a good- hearted 18-year-old innocent, who desires a life of monogamous bliss after an all-night stand with a 30ish biker (Christopher Bradley). Drag queens and cross-dressers (Erin Krystle, Craig Olsen and Mink Stole) serve as a Greek chorus in this light gay comedy with a satirical bite.
