The Shrine Auditorium management provides not only its facilities and
equipment to clients, but expert service as well, including an in-house
Graphics/Video department and public relations services. Our staff are
accommodating and knowledgeable personnel who are available to assist
in all aspects of event planning; including technical, creative,
catering, promotional and security efforts.
We will provide your team with complete diagrams and specs. The scope
of productions at Shrine LA! are without peer, and we are ready to
assist you presenting shows of every kind.
The Shrine Auditorium plays the dual role of Southern California
headquarters for the Shrine fraternity, as well as a public rental
facility for live and televised arts and entertainment productions,
theater productions, operas, movie screenings, meetings, conferences,
trade shows and conventions.
RENOVATION: In 1993 a $15 million improvement plan was completed,
including: a new adjoining multi-level parking facility adding 700-900
spaces; upgraded state-of-the-art stage with newly engineered rigging,
lighting and sound systems; air conditioning and heating system;
addition of an enclosed foyer; new roof and completed exterior paint
job. The Shrine facility also houses a commercial kitchen and has newly
secured, fenced lighted parking lots.

STAGE SPECIFICATIONS
Proscenium (At fall opening) width x height: 105'w X 68'd - With40’
wings on each side.
Loading Door
Clearance: 13'6" high x 7'6" wide.
Orchestra Pit:
Large enough to accommodate 60 musicians. Complete with electrical
outlets; stands and chairs available. Access to orchestra pit is from
stage left steps, or through Orchestra Ready Room.
Basement Area/Orchestra Ready Room: Located under the stage, almost as
large as the stage itself. It is used for storage or wardrobe trunks,
props, and assembled equipment. There is a large trap door in the
upstage floor area which allows large crates to be lowered to the
basement. Two sets of stairs stage right and stage left are used for
foot traffic.
Dressing
Rooms:
Two dressing
rooms with commodes and showers on the first floor (stage level); eight
rooms, some with shared commodes, on the second floor; and three on the
third floor. All dressing rooms have sinks and makeup
mirrors. Two Chorus Rooms with complete facilities in the
basement, accommodates up to 200 persons.
