Since 1988, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has provided over $40 million to The Actors’ Fund to support to 6 assistance programs including The AIDS Initiative, The Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative, The Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic and more….all of which provide essential social services to everyone in the entertainment industry.
Since 1988, BC/EFA has provided another $35 million to over 400 AIDS and family service organizations across the country, supporting hundreds of food banks, health clinics, emergency financial assistance and housing programs nationwide.
This support is possible only because of the enthusiastic, creative and generous fundraising efforts of theatre community, particularly the Broadway community which raises millions of dollars in audience appeals each year.
